Reviews and Ratings
I had a delightful stay at The Floatel in Kolkata. The location is extremely nice, perfect for a weekend getaway with family and friends to experience a calm and serene atmosphere along the Hughli river. The in-house bakery provided delicious food and cakes, adding a lovely touch to the experience. However, I felt that this may not truly be a 4-star hotel due to certain aspects.
The hotel is situated on riverside Ganges, offering a unique location for a romantic getaway. The rooms are nice but not exceptional, and some may find them below average for the price paid. The service, especially from Paresh, was very helpful and cooperative, although there were instances of rude behavior from some employees. The dining experience offers a wide spread of delicious Indian delicacies but may lack variety for repeated stays.
The hotel offers spacious, well-lit, and clean rooms with a very nice view, although the windows were a bit dirty. The service is prompt and courteous, maintaining a decent standard despite some shortcomings. The location provides a calm and quiet atmosphere but has issues like mice roaming and subpar food. The dining experience is delightful with a good variety of Indian delicacies. Overall, a mixed experience with both positive and negative aspects to consider.
